Forest Stewardship is a program that is designed through the DNR that provides technical advice to landowners for long range planning. Each plan is designed specifically for each property to help create goals that will help sustain the entire property except for active farming areas. It is a voluntary program that gives the land owner the opportunity to make a specific plan for the enhancement of their land.
To be eligible for this program you must be a private forest landowner who owns between 20-1,000 acres of land with at least 10 acres of trees or will have trees planted. It is our desire to help and assist as many of our customers as possible but do to the work that is put into each plan we must serve each landowner as they come in. The plans are free of charge and are done on first come, first serve bases.
If you are interested in having a Forest Stewardship plan done for your forested land please give our District Technican a call at 1-218-283-1175 and he will be happy to give you all the information you will need to have your plan done.
